Backerkit Survey Incoming - Quick Update

Hello, friends!

Here's a quick update on Backerkit!

We've been working on the Backerkit side of things and wrapped things up on our side! We'll first proceed by doing a smoke test.

What is a Smoke Test?

• A smoke test sends surveys to 5% of backers (random selection) from each pledge level in the campaign.
• It’s a simple way to catch any errors in the  survey and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
• Once the smoke test has been completed, we can send surveys to the rest of the backers. 

When does everyone gain Backerkit access?

The smoke test will finish quickly. Once it's done, we'll catch any errors on sight and fix them! We're anticipating Backerkit access for everyone by next week at the latest. It is here where you can change tiers, add additional add-ons, and fill in your address and email (if applicable). 

We'll send out an update once the Smoke Test concludes, so there is no need for you to wait around aimlessly.

Attention Late Backers! + VTT Bundle Update, and more!

Hi all!

We've been receiving questions about Late Pledge availability.

Riftborne for Late Backers!

Good news! Our Late Backer shop is now live! 

On Backerkit, the VAT and shipping costs are both included in the shipping cost. 

What's inside the VTT bundle?

There was some confusion about the contents of the VTT bundle during the Kickstarter run. We're here to clarify, once and for all, what it includes.

The VTT bundle here on Kickstarter and on the Backerkit Late Backer shop are the same. The bundle(s) give you Riftborne in an ultimate VTT experience and include 10 boss battles with maps, monster statblocks, monster tokens, and magic items, all pre-built in Foundry VTT with walls and dynamic lighting.

Meanwhile...

We're still working on the Backerkit side of things. All the pledge stuff remaining for backers will be dealt with in the next few weeks on there. It'll also be through Backerkit where you can add more add-ons.

IT'S NOT OVER -- 242K+ Raised!!

Hi, friends!

With 242K+ raised (€242,828 to be exact), we've achieved a fantastic accomplishment!

We want to give you an enormous THANK YOU (hence it's bolded and in all-caps)!

However, this is not the end. No, this is only the beginning! After all, it's not over until everyone's sitting at their home table, happily bringing out Big Chad (talking about you, Giga Mimic) or using the Rift Dragon to devour the entire party. Again, thank you so much! And let's get going!

What now?

Running a Kickstarter; while continuing our map Patreon and arranging things on the fly has been eye-opening... but exhausting. All these highs are humbling, and I wouldn't miss them for the world, but they are also very draining. First, we'll wrap some last things up in the coming weeks so that late pledgers and existing backers can access Backerkit. It's here where fulfillment happens, and additional add-ons can be swapped or added. You'll be notified appropriately once it goes live! Once that's settled and things have been adequately set up, we'll need to take a bit of a break to re-energize ourselves for all the fantastic things yet to come. 

Riftborne: Champions of the Multiverse is going to be amazing. It's just a matter of time before the rifts open in your home dungeons. 

What sort of updates can we expect?

There's a lot to do and a lot to share! Moving forward, the plan is to share an update at least once every two weeks so you guys are in the know and we're all positive and confident with the project.

We'll continue giving "INTO THE RIFTS" updates, which dive into specific areas of Riftborne content. Of course, we'll also keep you guys informed about any changes and our development, and answer essential questions that arise along the way.

However, this does not mean we are unavailable outside the regular update! You can join us on Discord and reach out to the community or us directly. You are also more than welcome to shoot a message to us over here, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Stretch Goal #8 - Lesgo! 5 MORE RACES

Amazing job! We passed the 225K Stretch Goal.

5 More Races Unlocked

The Stretch Goal of 225K is met, giving us 5 more races. None of the races are set in stone as they're still very much in development! These races will likely be loosely based on Blodstadt, Jorogumo, Sharkinator, and the Rift Dragon. The last remaining race will be decided by the community after the KS concludes. This is to be added content in the book, for ALL tiers.

We're On The Last Day!

In fact, there are less than 10 more hours to go! 

However, set at 250K, the next Stretch Goal will give us (big boss) Rambear - The Wallbreaker.

This SG adds content to the book (ALL tiers) and adds an additional STL (digital 3D file) to the STL Bundle add-on and Deluxe Tier. 

Let's get it!

Stretch Goal #7 - OHBOY! NEW BOSSES UNLOCKED

Oh yeah, we've just hit and already far surpassed the 200K mark!

This is incredible! Thanks so much, guys. You're on fire (not literally, I hope). 

Two New Bosses UNLOCKED

With this, we've unlocked two new bosses straight from HELIANA'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING. 

Say hello to the Magnetite Dragon and Dreamholder, who are now going to be included in the book... which is for ALL tiers! Not only does everyone get new 2 more bosses in the book, but the STL (Digital Files) of the duo will also be included in the STL Bundle Add-on and Deluxe Box tier. 

Next Stretch Goal? 1 More Day To Go!

The next stretch goal is set at 225K, giving us 5 more races loosely based on Blodstad, Jorogumo, Sharkinator, and the Rift Dragon. The last remaining race will be decided by the community after the KS concludes. This would be added content in the book, for ALL tiers.

It's also time to reveal the Kickstarter's absolute last stretch goal, which would give us another, unique Riftborne Boss monster. If we want to make it to Rambear - The Wallbreaker, we really have to keep pushing. 

This is the absolutely last DAY for the Kickstarter! Let's get it!

Note On Golden Rift Dice Set

We've received multiple, different questions about the Golden Rift Dice Set. There's also a mistake in the add-on text for the dice set (which we, unfortunately, cannot update/edit anymore). 

To clarify:

Aside from a different visual look for the box and hardcover book, the Golden Rift Dice Set is the only add-on that is not already in the Deluxe Tier. Everything else is.

Pre-Backers and Early Backers were promised a free Golden D20 from us. Some backers missed out on this and really wanted the golden D20, hence we added the Golden Rift Dice Set as an add-on for those who really want the dice! The Golden Rift Dice Set is a set of seven golden-paint finish rift dice to really challenge the rifts in luxurious style. Includes: One d4, one d6, one d8, two d10s (one percentile), one d12, one d20, and a felt dice bag.

If you're a pre-backer/early backer and add the Golden Rift Dice Set add-on, then you'll get the add-on on top of your free D20.

Project we love

Kickstarter is such a cool place, with so many interesting ideas and projects. One such project catching our eye is Torrents of the Spellhoarder. I mean, how could it not? Just look at that crazy scary unwater monster, tail and trident, and all! Be sure to take a peek to see what other monsters hide in the deep!
